Daniel Radcliffe terkenal di seluruh dunia berkat perannya sebagai Harry Potter di film-film Harry Potter. Buat seseorang yang sudah lama mendalami sutu bakalan susah untuk melepaskannya. Daniel Radcliffe lahir pada tanggal 23 Juli 1989 di London.Dia mempunyai ayah yang bernama Alan (agen sastra) dan ibu yang bernama Marcia (agen casting). Dan memulai acting pertamanya pada tahun 2000 sebagai David di film David Copperfield. Acting selanjutnya datang pada tahun 2001 dalam film The Panama.

Selanjutnya Dan mengikuti casting untuk menjadi peran Harry pada film Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone yang diambil dari buku yang dikarang oleh JK Rowling. Untuk mencari orang yang tepat untuk bermain film Harry Potter telah dilakukan sejak lama untuk memastikan mereka tidak mendapatkan orang yang salah. Produser film itu, David Heyman merasa bahwa Dan sangat cocok untuk menjadi Harry Potter. Ketika Dan tau dia diterima sebagai pemeran Harry Ia sedang duduk di kamar mandi rumahnya. Dia begitu bahagia dan terkejut karena diterima sebagai pemeran Harry dan segera bertanya kepada ayahnya kalau itu memang benar.
Dengan keberhasilan film pertama dan perannya sebagai Harry Potter sangat diterima oleh penggemar di mana-mana Daniel Radcliffe menandatangani kontrak untuk melakukan tiga film Harry Potter berikutnya dengan menjadi Harry pada setiap film Harry Potter. Setelah ketiga film itu berhasil disukai orang-orang, Dan akhirnya menandatangani kontrak sampai Film Harry Potter ke-7. Selain berperan sebagai Harry di Film Harry Potter, pada tahun 2005 melanjutkan actingnya dalam film December Boys .
Di luar acting Dan memiliki sejumlah kepentingan. Dan adalah penggemar berat film “What's Easting Gilbert Grape" dan "12 Angry Men". Dan juga merupakan pecinta music , terutama music punk. Beberapa band favoritnya adalah The Clash, The Pixies, The Sex Pistols dan The Killers. Selain menjadi pecinta music, Dan juga bermain bass.
